GARMENT CARE & LAUNDERING
Dry cleaning? Leave that for the wool, silk, and cashmere! Save your money and be kinder to the environment by simply showing your bamboo clothing a little love, and it will outlast any cotton clothing. Wash on a gentle setting (cold water.) Don't use chlorine bleach or liquid fabric softener, which can damage bamboo fibres. Line dry in the shade and never peg your clothing from the top or bottom or put on a hanger - lay it over the line so the middle of the garmnet is on the line. Wrinkles seem to fall right out of bamboo, making your iron obsolete and making bamboo perfect for travel.
Other tips for washing are suggestions like zipping up your hoodie to help it keep its shape, and put the 100% bamboo tops in a laundry bag.
BAMBOO TOWEL CARE & LAUNDERING
We recommend washing your towels at 40 Celcius delicate wash. Be sure your detergent is fully dissolved before adding your towels to the water, and avoid fabric conditioner as it reduces absorbency (or even makes them water repellent). Avoid contact with household cleaning products containing chlorine - bleach will remove colour permanently. Line dry recommended - avoid tumble drying and excessive heat. Baksana bamboo towels are woven, not knitted, so a pulled loop won't unravel. Simply cut any snagged loops with sharp scissors.
BAMBOO CHOPPING BOARD CARE
Never put your bamboo chopping board in the dishwasher, as this will cause damage to the finish that cannot be repaired! Hand wash it after each use with a solution of mild dish detergent and warm water, and rinse thoroughly after the surface is clean. To keep the bamboo grain looking great, you can apply mineral oil to your cutting board before using it for the first time, and around once a month thereafter.
DELIVERY
All orders for stocked merchandise received Monday-Friday will usually be shipped within 24 hours, except during weekends or public holidays, via Australia Post registered mail. Any out of stock items will be notifed at time of placing order, you can then advise to back-order or cancel. Back-orders usually take 10-14 days to deliver.
RETURNS
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 10 days of your shipping date. We will credit your original form of payment. All unworn, non-laundered merchandise must be returned in original condition with tags intact. In the event of defective goods or a shipping error, we will absorb any additional shipping charges associated with the item. If you need to send something back because it is the wrong size, you pay to ship the item back to us, and we will pay shipping for the replacement item. If you try our bamboo clothing and are unhappy with it in the first 10 days of your shipping date, we will refund your money including shipping costs as soon as we receive the item(s) back from you.
